Nice and blue... but I hope you won't hit any garbage cans or anything! Like someone said... the visibility diminishes, the higher you go.
I'd probably upgrade mine from the stock 4300 to Phillips 6000. And that's the max I personally am willing to go up to.

I have compared 8000K and 6000K bulbs side by side and IMO 6000K is a little better of an investment. It looks PLENTY blue already next to all other light sources, and even in broad daylight. Yet it still produces more light than regular halogen bulbs. Meanwhile, IMO 8000K bulbs produce a bluish tint that is so blue it looks fake while producing less light (or about equal light) to a regular halogen bulb. Also, the bluish color makes it reaally hard to see at night... Just my opinion.

4300k? 6000k? 8000k? Whats next 1000000k? Jeebus. At this rate people might as well get some aircraft landing lights and strap them on the hood. J/k How much of a difference do these make in everyday driving vs the stock xenon bulbs? Worth the price?

Personally, I don't know how big an improvement 8000K is over 6000K, I just went with 8000K because I couldn't seem to locate a 6000K kit for the H7 low beam. I wasn't really concerned with color, just trying to improve the lighting a bit, and figured I might as well try out an HID kit. It was a gift anyway.

Cool deal.. the low beams are H7? I was under the impression they were 9006. Also, you have any pics of your bronze TE-37's? I think that's an awesome color combo, the bronze and blue...

About my wheels: R&D says they arrived in LA some days ago, but they haven't received the wheels at their shop yet, nor the S03s I've asked them to mount. They expected them to ship out end of next week, which I guess is the 4th. Go figure- Did you receive the center caps yet?

Apparently, the non-base models have 9006 bulbs for low beams, and the base models use H7 bulbs. This was per my manual.

You rather switch out a factory HID kit for an aftermarket kit thats less intense and more colorful? Can I have your stock bulbs instead then?
Just FYI, I have 7000K HID, I got a ticket for it, $130. The cop said it was too blue. I made him pull off the freeway with me to show him the bulbs, and we stood there and argued for 30 min before he wrote me the ticket. So you guys might want to consider counting your blessings that your car comes with stock HID bulbs and don't have to change it.
IMO, 4200k to like 5800K is the best ones. Anything beyound that gets a little bit too colorful. Either way, thats a great gift to get for xmas. But seriously, can I have your stock ones???

Basically along time ago, the color of the light given by the glow of molten steel was a rough indicator of the melted steel's temperature. So... when the steel was melted, it got hotter and its glow gradually shifts from a dull red to bright red to orange to yellow on up to very bluish white light.
Thus the "color" of white light can be expressed in degrees of temperature.
