Default new Seibon CF hood, Nismo S-Tune (urethane replica) bumper

Also got the antenna shaved (no more radio-controlled-look) - Kevin and Jody @ Rochester Collission get a BIG  8)

NOW - I NEED SOME HELP!!

despite reports that the new hoods fit better w/ the strut bar... I guess that was re: the OEM hood or another style or styles...

SO - can anyone suggest a strut bar that will fit under this hood?? I don't want to compromise handling for appearance and a slight cooling upgrade... I don't particularly care about cost/material/style, just so long as it fits and will do it's job of bracing shock-tower movement under load...

Looks sweet. I'd definitely see about getting that square in the middle of the front intake painted black, though.

However, I could have swore that others on the forum have had the Seibon hood with the stock strut. Are you running any kind of plenum mod that requires spacers?

As far as the strut bar goes, you might want to check some of the forward-sitting strut tower bars such as APS, Stillen, or Crawford. Of course, with these you will either have to modify or remove the plastic engine cover.

no mod/spacers. i could care less re: the cover, it was probably coming off soon anyway... thx for the suggestions re: bars. re the intake / scoop it would have looked like a big pointy nose, and i like it subtle and almost like the ///M3 GTR as i've done it imo.

BJF2K if you look @ the title, it's not a lip (although i do have one available - nismo, oem, painted ppw but in need of a repaint) it's all 1 pc.

i leave body work to body guys, it's the one area i am NOT interested / willing to play with. they told me: "It fit very very well, it came without any mounting holes except the 2 fender ones, which was nice cuz we could just fit it as it should be and drill for the undertray and other mounts. It was pretty damned close for an aftermarket / race part though."

I just got that same hood a couple of weeks ago and it fits very well with the strut bar, no problem at all. Perhaps you got old stock? Mine shipped in a Seibon box, with a Seibon metal tag riveted to it.

it's actually is relatively easy to remove the bumper. i'd download the service manual just to see where all the screws/clips are. you will have to jack the car up to get to some of the screws that are in the wheel well area. good luck
