Default Lets See Your Hood

Going to be purchasing a carbon fiber non OEM hood for the z for Christmas. Post some pics of your hood to give me a better idea of what I want to get. Thanks for your help.

go with either Velside V3 or Seibon VT. I have Seibon VT and love it.

Bubble, could you post a pic of the bottom side of the hood? I want to see if the inlet forces air over the motor and the the outlet pulls air out(per se) of the engine bay.

What could happen if you got caught in a pretty good rainstorm with one of these hoods. It seems like it happens to me once a year.

I have heard that there is no realy danger if the motor or anything else gets wet as its all sealed and safe. However, my real concern is in the fact that my SC is near one of the vents on the VT and its about in the opening in the TSII which is what I am really looking into.

fitment good, no need for any modification. Just pop right in. I didn't weight it but they are much lighter compare to OEM hood. We have few heavy rain lately in norcal and no problem with the engine.

i think it would help the engine bay temp a bit since you can feel the hot air come out from the side vent. HOWEVER, i still believe aftermarket hood for the look only/

bubble are you sure the cf hood is lighter than stock..
from most of the guys i've been talking to.. they all said that the stock hood was light if not lighter than most wet cf hoods.
