I'd like to try using bright red interior bulbs instead of the stock ones. Any suggestions? I think they'd look really cool in a redline. The aftermarket xenon ones are blueish and make passengers look like they've got cancer

 

There are both LED and cold cathodes available in red. Swapping out the overhead festoon bulbs is a piece of cake.

 

I'd advise against using any sort of cold cathode or neon "red" interior lighting. Every one I've seen actually looks more pink.

I'd say definitely go with LEDs.
