Question What should I look for on the Z, when I go to the dealer to scope it out??

Hey guys,
Went over to the dealer today and theyve got a bunch of Z's in stock. I have been lookin over many of the posts on this site for the past few months and am concerned about a few things. First of all im looking to get a Performance Daytona Blue 6speed. I have heard so many problems with the paint, Ive got a 97 black mustang and believe me it sux to have poor paint. Thats really my main concern, other problems with fit and finish could be fixed by dealer service bulletins.
My real question is.....What should i really be looking for when I inspect this car at the dealer??? Have any of the past issues been corrected?? Heres a list of things ive devised to watch for when i scope out this particular car.....
1. Paint (orange peal and such),
2.Shifter grinding and movement,
3.Uneven gaping between body panels
4.Window grease when rolled up and down

Anything else i should really look into??? Also which colors are the best for paint quality. Im considering silverstone or DB.

Default cool

I printed out some of that info for when i go to the dealer. Also as far as the daytona blue paint is concerned. I read that nissan is reviewing this colors paint. Any chance that the paint is fixed on the newer 03's coming off the line now/??? Or is this strictly a 04 fix? Thanks again.
