to STRIPE or not to stripe???
Like I said before, don't be fooled with the picture, the roadster is the nice thing in that picture, the stripes doesn't make the car hot. IMO
It's like showing a viper with stripes, it's the viper, not the stripes that is nice.

The vehicle is beautiful as it is. Also, it's going to look like *** after 70k miles when some of it has peeled off and some of it still looks brand new.

yes i agree with most of you all, i can do with or w/o them.. so ill use other to tip the scales,
generally i do not go for stripes or tacky branding "upgrades" im eve the type for removing emblens, ect..
as far as NISMO equip, i have the track so the wheels are at least close, i will be getting the exhaust and intake, and side skirts
generally i dont see high end cars with such "flair" either its kept simple so i think thats what i will do! \

First off, congrats on the 06! I say go ahead and do them. I personally like them, and will be adding them soon. I like the way the graphics look more so than because its Nismo. If you don't have Nismo parts, you can always just use the strips and hood decal and not use the Nismo and S/R-Tune stickers. I would, however, hold off on them if you are currently bone stock. You should have some aftermarket adds on before adding graphics, Nismo or otherwise. Here is my SS which I'll be adding graphics to. I have the Nismo cold air intake, chrome shift ****, floor mats, clear side markers, and seat belt pad, in addition to Tein S-Techs, Hotchkis Sways Bars, Greddy Strut bar, and 19" Volk GT-Cs, so I'd hardly feel like a poser and would feel VERY comfortable picking up the ladies in my car...if I wasn't with a wonderful girl already! (just in case my girl is reading this

Seeing as how all nismo options in the U.S. are dealership options package (even if you don't buy it when you purchase the car) and not a factory option, if you like the strips go ahead and get them. I think they look great on SS even without the body kit.
I think with the Nismo stuff you said you're getting you should stay away from the s-tune and r-tune badging. I've had people dog me because I have the s-tune decals and I don't have the wheels, but mine are the same sizes and almost the same offset (they're actually lighter too) and so I feel I have an s-tune and don't care what others say.
But that's just all my opinion. It's your car. Do what you want. Hater's will hate regardless.

THIS is the exact look i want! its just right not too much but says a little something "more than stock"
I personally love the nismo stripes and have been thinking about adding them to my Z ... how ever I want to do some custom colors since I dont like the black/white/silver combo on a Redline ... i'm going with black/dark gray/ silver or I might do something like this:

I had never been a fan of auto graphics until I saw the Nismo ones. Whichever Nissan designer came up with them deserves kudos for showing that automotive graphics do not automatically imply a lack of taste. These are very well crafted and take nothing away from the car's look; they only add to it, and greatly so.
Best '06 colors for them are SS, SA, and DB. But as others have said as well, don't put them on unless your Z actually has S-tune parts.
Here's a DB with the red/white/gray version. I think it is a member's car.

How can it be photoshopped when the pictures are at different vertical angles and the reflection on the car's bodies are different?
Example: look how you can see more of the interior roof on the first picture, It's definately a different angle.

I would consider something in the middle -- like the stripes in three shades of gray. The red and black are a bit much for me for a daily-driver. Tone them down and you might get the best of both worlds.

I didn't like the Nismo Graphics at first but i like them now and so does everyone that i know. Even the old school car guys give me compliments on the Nismo Graphics. I guess it's all in the eyes of thee beholder...and that's all that should really matter.
