I have a seibon oem carbon fiber hood. I was looking at it the other day. There are dips or dipples all over the top of the hood. I know nothing hit or fell on the hood and its always parked in the garage. Has anyone had this problem? Or is this normal with carbon fiber. I will try to take some pics but I dont know if it will be able to see them. Its acually pretty aggravating when i look at it. Does anyone know if the will warranty something like that?

 

it's normal with wet carbon.

 

Anyone know which companies are making dry carbon hoods for the Z? Personally I really hate paying good money on carbon products that have inherent imperfections.

a carbon hood in dry carbon will run u about or nearly 10x as much as u paid
ur buying for the carbon look, unregulated crash safety, and near stock if not more weight...

 

C-West, Top Secret, just to name a few...that makes dry CF hoods. Looking at around $2000.
