I found this one on a car for sale on ebay. I really like it....the catch is that (as a member of the board found for me).....it appears that this spoiler is for.....an Oldsmobile. I know I know, but I like the look on the car!

IMO the only piece I like on the trunk is the stock Aero piece, but the Nismo one isn't half bad.

rear view
anyone sat in a car with either the Nismo or Veilside wing installed? With the already limited rear view. How are people with these wings installed backing up in their driveway?

nismo is tested in the wind tunnel like any production company wing...meaning nissan
if u want a nice wing get the nismo which look beautiful in person...
if you want a wing that will do a lot for you as in downforce get the c-west GTwing...made and used on japans GT class and GT300 JGTC

i keep hearing this rumor that nismo wing is wind tunnel tested. I also hear that nismo is not directly affiliated with nissan. I would like to see numbers backing up the wind tunnel testing (downforce, drag, etc.) We have those numbers for the stock spoiler.

However the Nismo U.S. will be a Nissan owned company.
( They say that Mod's will not void your warantee, however R - Spec mods will void your warantee. Stick with S-Spec is what I was told. )

Everybody does know that the Nismo wing design was borrowed/purchased from Sony (Gran Tourismo). Or at least that's how the story goes. I can't remember where I read that, but it was pretty interesting. The designers of the game wanted to have a more aggresive spoiler for the Z so they made one graphically, not realizing that it would end up on real cars. Pretty funny stuff.

You should be able to get one from your local Nissan dealership parts dept about now, think they are over $400 though they're selling exact copies on Ebay for $200, search for (nismo spoiler"

ask around, I think there are a couple people here that have already installed the Ebay ones. As for fit, these are obviously direct knock offs using a real Nismo wing, if your familiar with how fiberglass pieces are made its MUCH easier to use an exsisting piece and make a mold from it than try to fabricate a exact replica from scratch to make a mold from. So the fit should be the same as the regular Nismo wing. Structuraly though, its anyones guess. Sagging fiberglass pieces suck
