Default Would it be boring to get the Greddy Bodykit?

Despite what I posted on another thread, I agree with what most people said about the Ibherdesign bodykit. It is way too aggresive and "ricey" and does nothing for the lines on the Z.

I have, through some contacts managed to get hold of a decent price for the Greddy authentic bodykit. I believe this to be an original of the kit.

I was looking for something a little different, but with the cost of shipping over a kit, which can work out to the same or even more than the cost of the bodykit itself, the costs far outweigh the benefits, so, I am thinking of getting the Greddy.

It's nice, not over the top and keeps the Z's lines. BUT, am I being boring?

PS: I do not mean to offend anybody who already has the kit. It's a great kit.

i like the sides and rear, but the front isn't as clean as i would like...you're not being boring unless you think it's boring...if you like it, definitely get it...i think it's a good kit, and definitely wouldn't fault anyone for having it

I don't think it's a boring kit at all. It keeps the body styling of the Z (which is already a plus) and adds a few nice touches.

I'd go for it!

Exactly. I am a boreing person I guess. I hate big bodykits, I hate FG front ends, and I like clean. This is why I got the kit. Your not being boreing, your being subtle. Anything bigger is a waste and defeats the purpose of a lip kit. Just adds weight.

Sorry, mine is still sitting in my basement. The 5" of snow kinda restricts me from going anywhere in the Z. Infact I haven drivin it in 2 months. Damn college. I will have pics of the Greddy kit, new spoiler dropped on 19" Hiros here come spring time so stay tuned.

BTW Im modding the Greddy kit slightly, not that a normal person would be able to tell, but to me it's the little things that make a big difference.

Thanks for all the great replies guys, really appreciate it. I know that buying a bodykit, rims etc is a very personal thing, and each to his own. It seems to be the kit that does the most without really spoiling the kit, and for me, the price is OK given the cost of shipping it.

Yes, there are far nicer and better looking kits out in the market, but they tend to be way over the top in terms of cost, and I have other mods in mind.

Once again, thanks for the positive feedback.

Check my sig. I had the Greddy front and sides but not the rear. The front lip shattered in 3 pieces after I tapped a curb. Later switched to the vertex. The kit looks great but I can do without the rear. Like someone mentioned above, the rear would look much better molded.

thanks!
I think the JP rear really accents the greddy sides well

The greddy kit fits on absolutely perfect and the Jp Vizage rear was about 99% perfect fit.
You just have to start from the bottom and slide the rear upward into place.

I've always disliked lip kits because they look like what they are; something you stuck onto the vehicle that doesn't belong there. If you are going to get a body kit get one that completely replaces the front and rear bumpers so you have a much cleaner flow.

<edit>

But I do think the GReddy kit looks pretty good for a lip kit.
