Racing Seats - Sparco, Momo, Bride, etc

I had beige alcantara Sparco Milano seats in my Audi A4. They were great for the track, but not so great for long distance drives.
The Sparco seats are very well made, excellent materials and craftsmanship.
My guess is the Z seats will be good enough for me at the track. If not, I'll replace them with black alcantara Sparco Milanos.

Does anybody know if when removing seats that have side airbags confuse the airbag system? Would it disable anything or affect the side curtain airbags?
Is it safe to assume that everything would operate as usual?

Actually, the seat back is very comfortable, lots of support in all the right places. My problem was the bottom seat bolsters would press into the sides of my thighs.
You can take the covers off the bottom seat cushion and widen the bolsters... I was just too lazy.
Hope that helps.

For my Audi A4 I had Sensible Solutions (www.airbagonandoff.com) make resistors for me that I could plug into the connectors. I paid $25 for a pair.
If you do not add the capacitor, you will have an Air Bag warning light on the dash. It will stay on forever, or until you clear the code from the ECU and re-attach the seats airbags.
As for disabling the curtain or front airbgas... I have heard "Yes it disables the whole airbag system" and "No it has no effect on the airbag system" so I don't have a good answer for that one.
Hope that helps.
