Default Rear Emblem removal

I've seen a few cars with the Nissan emblem removed on the rear hatch. Does anyone know if you remove the emblem if there are any holes underneath? or is the emblem just stuck on with double sided tape. Some emblems have two little plastic tabs that go into the metal of the car so it's easier to align when you put it on. The front can't be removed b/c there is an indentation around the bumper. Just wondering if the rear can be taken off easily. thanks

yes ive talked to many peopel about this. most people that take it off replace it with the Z taken off of an extra rear strut bar cover piece to cover the 2 little holes that will be visible. i still havent done it yet but i will soon as soon as i find an extra strut bar cover.

yeah i removed the front nissan hamburger and replaced with the Z emblem
from courtesy nissan parts. also removed the '350z' rear letters but left the
nissan hamburger in the back b/c of the holes.

Here's a picture of the holes that will be under the rear emblem:

These ones are filled with black silicone sealer prior to installation of the Z emblem:

I just used the Z out of the 350Z emblem placed just right.

Then I decided to try a smaller NISSAN emblem with CF inserts for awhile:

ROGUELITE - I bought the CF Material off of a ebay vendor in sheet form and used tin snips to cut it out. It came with self adhesive backing and was about $15 for a 12' x 18" peice if I remember correctly.

This is what I did to the front emblem:

Yes actually the one on the strut will cover the existing holes even better than the one you see in the picture above. I just used the Z out of the 350Z emblem on the hatch for mine.

I know I'm reviving a zombie thread, but does anyone know HOW to remove the rear emblem? Do I pop it off, or do I need to take apart the trim from the inside? I have the Z badge to replace it so I dont care about breaking the hamburger if its easier.

I've tried searching and found plenty of thread with rear emblems removed, but cant find anything that explains how people have actually taken them off.

Thanks in advance guys

Coupes leave 2 holes when the rear is debadged.

Roadsters have 0 holes when the rear is debadged and are lucky bastards! YAY!

id take apart the trim. if it has holes i think it'd be safe to assume its using some sort of fastener.

Not sure if serious you dont have reading comprehension. As I said, I have done searches. Thats from Google and my350z. If it was that easy, I wouldnt have bothered typing up the question, and if I hadnt searched, I wouldnt have ever found a thread from 7 years ago.

Plenty of search results. As I said, none of them say HOW to remove it, they just deal with the two holes after removal.
