Default Team Voodoo Shift ****

Can anyone share their experiences w/ the Team Voodoo Shift ****? I'm considering ordering the pearlized one for my G... I guess more specifically:

1) How much did it lower the overall height of the shifter as compared to stock?
2) Were you able to keep the stock shift boot, and if so, does the shift boot butt right up to the new **** (i.e. good fit/finish)? (I'd appreciate any pics you might have).

Thanks..

I've got a pearl spun aluminum ****. It lowered the overall height quite a bit. The shifting felt a lot better due to it. Weight is slightly heavier from comparison so i'm sure this helps with the shift throw.

There is a ring in the shift boot that flattens out and holds the shift boot opening. If you want the boot to conform to the ****, you'll have to take this ring out. I didn't due to laziness but it did kind of get in the way when holding the shift **** pistol grip. It is perfectly fine if you grab the **** from the top.

I understand that if you do want the boot flush with the bottom of the ****, you'll have to buy a small rubber adapter ring from a hardware store to make it conform.

If you do buy it, it looks great! I don't have any pics, but if you search on this site and the one of the other big 350z sites, there are members that have the picture on one.

I have this **** and really like it. I tend to palm the shifter and like the **** style over a pistol typ shifter. To finish off the **** install, run down to autozone in the HELP! products section and get a little rubber boot and trim it to fit.

These are pics of mine. I have a short throw shifter, so just compare the overall height of the voodoo to the stock piece. In the pic, you can see the rubber boot I used as a finisher to avoid what Jasonlee was refering to in his post. The camera makes the rubber piece look funny (kind of a bluish color), but I can assure you it looks OEM.
