Default 350Z spare key programming procedure

Hi guys! Maybe anyone has any idea of DIY 350Z spare key programming procedure? Did the search with no luck
The one referred here is for the remote, but not for the key.
Any ideas?
Thanks and happy New Year!

Isn't this also for remote, rather than the key?

I had my key cut and programmed at the dealer. You may want to try there. I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure the key has to be programmed by a specific machine that cuts the key. This is something that I believe only the dealership can do for you. Like, I don't even think you can go to a hardware store and get a chipped key cut. It has to be done at the dealer.

1. Get in car.
2. Drive to dealer.
3. Give key to dealer and pay absurd amount of money.
4. Get back programmed key.
5. Drive home (taking the long way ).

The dealer is the only one who can program a key to match the car. You can only do the remote yourself.

Some locksmiths can program keys, but its much easier to locate a Nissan Dealer than finding a locksmith that can. I lost both of my keys and had to tow the car to a Nissan Dealer to have them cut two keys ($70 ea key) and had them programed to my cars code ($65 labor). I bought two remotes off ebay ($20 for both) and it came with easy do-it-yourself instructions.

Since you have the original key you may get away without paying the $65 labor, but you will still pay $50-$80 for a new key at the dealer. Good luck!

1.look in the yellow pages for a locksmith w/transponder key programming in their ads

2.call a few of them to get quotes, then decide who to go with.

I'm getting a spare done at a local shop for $45 cut and programmed.

Default Programing transporter key for 350z

ACE Hardware for $80.00 including the key can do it. I have a 2004 350z and I went to Lowes but they could not do it. They can only do some .The salesperson told me to try ACE and they have the key and an upgraded machine .
The Nissan dealer in Covington and Metairie wanted over $200.00 each . It took ten minutes the whole process at ACE.
