LOL, I for one am not getting after market bulbs for a further distance range. I am all about looks when it comes to changing light bulbs. I have never found myself in a situation where I am in the deep countryside with no streetlamp where I am driving so fast in the dark that I would benifit from a lightbulb that went a little further distance.

That said, thanks for the info so we can have some offical stats on aftermarket bulbs.

2 times as bright is more than 'a little further', the ridgeline is the only vehicle where all the bulbs have similar results, not suprising since it is a truck, cutting the distance in half is a major safety hazard imo, and not really worth looking 'cool' for

Watts is watts.

Put more watts in and you'll get more photons out ... just don't try for too many as you'll smoke the wires.
