Default Someone help me with my Tint decision

I am dropping off my car to a local tint shop sometime next week, and i live in atlanta and anything under 35% is illegal. So i was wondering if anyone has a SS with 35% tint on it... unless someone can convince me 35% is a waste of time and money.

Actually if some of you can post pics and what percentage that would be awesome and would make my decision much more easier. Thanks in advance.

I have 35% on one of my personal cars from when I lived in MA (35% is the limit). It works great and as the interior is dark it probably looks a little darker than it is when you look in.

If you go with a high quality tint it will keep more of the heat out that crappy tint that is darker. Darker does not mean cooler inside, just means darker.

I plan on going with 35% all around. It has looked good on any car I've seen it on.

20% the whole way around (not so legal) with a tint strip. I would have done the entire front window becaues that looks much better, but I have to do a state inspection every year on my Z. It also hides the audio stuff on the instide better then 35% will. I had 20% on my old car and i got pulled by the law once in 3 years, so I think that I wont have any probs w/ the 5.0.

Navy that looks nice... but i don't know if i want to take that chance and get illegal tint.. It's such a waste of time going to court, and waste of money paying fines... cops over here are so **** about it...

i responded to your other thread (v1lip or nismo) and posted pics of my z.

my z has 50% on the sides and 20% on the rear, if i had to do it again i would go 35% on the sides.
remember that since our interior is black, it will look darker from the outside too.

good luck.

Do cops give you trouble for having side and rear window limo tint? Over here where i live you can have limo tint on rear side and back window just not the Front side windows...

Its the same here in NC as well. Does anyone have pics with 35% all the way around? 20% on the back is still illegal here and while you may not get pulled over by the cops with it, you most definitely wont pass car inspection so unless you can afford to have it taken off and put back on again every time you get your car inspected, anything less than 35% is not worth it.

thats what i did
I have PPW, 35 on front and 20 on rear. You won't get hassled in Georgia that way. Why draw even more attention to yourself? BTW I highly recommend LLumar films... JMO

that was my car the results were perfect for me. The tint came out light enough so the cops won't hassle me and dark enough at night.
