Smile HID level adjustment

I don't have any before/after pictures, but I recently had a mechanic pal adjust my levels 1.5 inches higher on both the driver and passenger side. I can definitely see further at night when there are no streetlights. At first, it seemed a little dimmer close to the car. But then I realized that was because less light is being directed onto the ground in front of the headlamps.

Now if there is something in the street, I think I will be able to see it and avoid it instead of seeing it (at the last minute) and then potentially hitting it.

Yeah I adjusted mine too after realizing that visibility was comparatively worse than regular halogens when driving on roads with no streets lights. Fortunately enough I have yet to encounter anything in road where it was too late to react. Is there a TSB on this issue?

At least where I live, the Nissan mechanics are pretty cool and friendly. I am sure if you could meet one they could do the adjustment for you with their tool. Or you could just hit up Lowe's/Home Depot and do it yourself. I am also surprised there is no TSB for this issue because stock HIDs seem really keen on lighting up the ground directly in front of the car instead of further down the horizon.

Harbor Freight sells the long screw drivers as do some of the $0.99 stores around here. I've got mine too high and the high beams are worthless - you can't tell if they're on or off.

Gotta fix that tonight.
