I saw one in person. If you look at it from the distance, it messes up the curve of the roofline. Not worth it in my opinion. I agree with whoever posted that if you want sunroof-get a G-coupe.

f the g, if you really want a sunroof on you Z get it done. posers who say dont get it, are just jealous and cant afford it cause they can barely afford their Z payments. weight and structural integrity my ***, please dont use those as excuses unless your a pro track driver.

I think it looks nice for short little summer cruises. Not the best idea to have it open for high speed runs. Also I don't know if I could spend $900 for one also. I like but not my cup of coffee right now.

I wanted a sunroof because I love the light that it brings in the coupe. Test drove a G with a sunroof, it wasnt enough. Bought the ZR, been every day since then.

Call Houston Auto Trim. I got a quote for the Webasto 300M for 800.00 installed.

Does Webasto not list their authorized retailers for their sunroofs? The only sunroofs I have seen on the Z have been Webasto's.

My wife has an electric-retractable aftermarket sunroof in her ride. Six years later, it operates perfectly, no leaking or rust. I believe it was about $1000 installed.

They do increase wind noise slightly depending on the style you choose. Be sure to get a sliding sunscreen for those hot days.

K since most of you are just guessing let me tell you how the sunroof really affects the Z. I've had two Z's now with one on both within a month of purchase totalling close to 3 years with a Webasto sunroof on my car and these are my observations. First of all as far as structural integrity I'm sure if your car flipped over with or without a sunroof youa re in big trouble in our car so I wouldn't sweat that too much. Secondly the idea that the hatch is going to hit it when it is fully back couldnt be more wrong. There is several inches of space even fully extended back with the hatch all the way raised. Thirdly there is no rust at all. Fourth the sunroof is programmable to different positions and automatically closes when your car shuts off so you dont have to worry about forgetting. Living in Florida my main concern was leaking and after driving in horrible rain all this time I havent had a single drop come through. The place that installed it even replaced my headliner for a higher quality one then came with the car. As far as the lines of the car I think when closed it looks a little odd but I dirve with it open 100% of the time that it's not raining and have only heard good things from spectators etc. I say go for it there is no real loss as far as your car is concerned. It's one of my fav mods and I really couldnt think of my Z without it.

Oh and since I know its a big concern, it will not restirct you from doing high speeds. I have done top speed with the sunroof and both windows fully open and just as any situation, if you are doing that type of speed you need to pay attention and know how to drive.
