License plate relocation because of intercooler.
Alright, as many of you have also experienced, I got stopped for no front plate. The reason I took mine off is because of my intercooler and the aesthetics of the front end. A Zee-bracket would be worse than putting it back in the stock location and I'll be damned if I have to put it back on.
Anyway I was wondering if anyone has relocated it to the side of the front bumper similar to how the Lancer EVOs do theirs.
I would love to relocate mine in a similar fashion and was wondering the best way to go about doing it.... ??

i think it would look better than in the middle, but i wouldn't like it anywhere on the front anyways. im sooo glad that we dont have to do that here. but i wouldnt suggest drilling holes in your bumper.
be creative and rig something up that is connected to your grille

It's a choice you make.
Personally I'd rather "ruin" the car than give "the man" a reason to stop me and give me an **** probe checking my car from stem to stern. I also rather live in a state where you can drive your Z in the sunshine every day of the year and where a car won't have a speck of rust on in after 20 years.

Alright here it is with zip ties... looks better than in the middle of the grille i think. Still blocks air going past the intercooler on the one side and going to the radiator and possibly cool air going up to the pop charger. However, I will be installing my varis air duct eventually so thats why I chose the side I put it on.

I believe it is okay because the fronts dont have your registration stickers, nor do they need to have the lights like the rear does. Personally, I think front plates are crap.

You may try what I did. I took some metal cutters and trimmed the plate to fit the shape of bumper. Then just some zip ties to attach to grill. This is not blocking much airflow as there was already some black box or something behind this area anyway. Just an idea for you. Yes I know I need to get a lip for the car, I know I know. I don't have an intercooler though.
