Default Varis Rear Diffuser?

Anyone have pictures of this on a Z taken from a distance greater then 8 inches?

I am having trouble figuring how these look on the Z.

Thanks

aren't the varis rear diffuser just the pieces on the side, right behind the rear wheels?

Yes and no....

The side pieces are actually vortex generators but for some reason we used to call them rear diffusers. (yes, I'm working on changing the name on the website) We actually have rear diffuser as well now. (the center section) They look like this:

curious. how do you plan on mounting (more importantly where) this center diffuser with enough structure/support for the amount of suction it will create at high speed? and does this incorporate the stock exhaust or aftermarket single exhaust?

The website says that its a universal rear diffuser and its got a rediculous price tag. I have now lost interest. Back to the original plan of fabricating my own

6 degrees of incline is a good place to start

which is *cough* *cough*
same as stock exhaust curve.

Are you woriking on one too Chebosto? You seem to be a lot better at this sort of thing lol. I was just going to get some cardboard, some scissors, and a sharpee lol. You have the whole laptop and measuring tape thing going on.

It's about half the price of the TS rear diffuser...I think your price expectations for a quality product like this are a bit unreasonable.

As was already pointed out, it's a universal design so mounting is pretty much up to the end user. The mounting hardware it comes with is pretty good though it's a bit difficult to describe without seeing it in peson. There are some pics of one mounted on an evo and a wrx on the website and you can kind of see the supports in those pics.

Geez, I guess they are. Do these sell at that price? Nowhere near what I would have guessed lol. I guess I am for sure going to have to make one of my own lol.

I think you're only considering the materials. The cost to produce a quality crafted product with the right tools, materials and skilled craftman isn't cheap, especially not in Japan.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not trying to discourage you from making your own. I'd actually love to see what you come up with.

Now I am a little scared to see what I come up with lol. Everybody else has laptop programs and wind tunnels, all I have is handtools lol. Whatever I come up with I am sure wont be nearly as well crafted as either this, but I mainly just want to close the pocket that switching to an aftermarket exhaust leaves. Actually, before I get to making my own I am trying to find a company to sponsor my car and make something like this along with a few other things. Thats not working out too well for me yet though lol. I will give it another month or two before I dive in and try it myself.

Forgot to mention this...

No pricing on it yet but i'm sure it won't be cheap. It's a totally new design specifically for the Z33.

That looks SICK. That will fit right on the stock rear bumper? And is it all in Carbon Fiber?
