I'm still kind of shocked that the clear lense actually costs $100. When they first came out for the 03-05 they weren't that much were they? I bought my smoked lense, and at that time the clear reflectors were only ~$30.

 

to my knowledge clear reflectors were never 30$, their was a time when they got down to about 40$ when performance and courtesy got into a price war. but it came back up now. when the cars first came out the smoked were also available from japan, I paid 60$ for mine infact.

this group buy is for those that really want it, and want it now. Im sure within a few months performance and courtesy will have these for around 60$ shipped. I found a source now for 75$; seemed fair enough to offer.

for the record Im not making anything on this, Im hoping the tarriffs dont cost me more than Im estimating or Ill lose money. the part where this becomes worthwhile for me is hopefully when some of them want the LEDs in them. then I do charge for my time on that. This whole thing is just to facilitate that. everyone wins. as I hope everyone already knows, this isnt my full time job, this is just a hobby of electronics and random futzing around in the workshop. I keep my labor prices quite low, basicly over the years of doing this Ive maybe broken even my other silly little projects with LEDs that dont work out.

Don't take it the wrong way, i wasn't implying that you're ripping ppl off... It's just a surprise to me that prices for these things can fluctuate this much.

 

I was thinking about selling mine so I could get the 03-05 front bumper so I could put the Veilside lip on. Sucks that Veilside is not making a lip for the 06 bumper because that lip is soo pimp.
