Default convertable top locks

i had a problem yesterday closing my top. when it was done with it's movement i went to lock it and had an issue getting it to lock closed. after a few attempts it finally closed but upon furthur inspection i saw the the plastic covering on the actual locking mechanisms hed been shaved away. anyone know what it up with this?

I had that problem. Take it to the dealer if still warrantied. I had the entire top replace because of that and some pinholes.

there is a plastic covering on the locking mechanism?

does your soft top still closes and locks though?

I remember i had a hard time closing it once and forced it. ever since it felt a little loose, but it could be my imagination, hehe
