The de-ricer spray and the hardwood shampoo are priceless hehehe.

I hope I never, ever see a Z with neon. Oh please, Jesus, spare me that life experience.

That's funny cuz I remember seeing all this first on Trans-Ams in the early 80's back in my neighborhood in New York City, including the neons. So for my brother and I, we see it more as a "guido" thing as opposed to ricey. But I'm pretty sure it must've shown up on Civics first because those guys in the Trans-Ams didn't have an original bone in their body.
(I'm talking mainly about the neons here... not the fuzzy dice because that goes even farther back.)

What about curb feelers? Or is that even older?

Typically underbody neons are horrible looking, but I've seen cases where it looks pretty decent. I'd have to say that putting it on the Z would be a bad idea, as 95% of the body mods, regardless of what they are, look bad on the Z. The closest thing I would come to putting neons on the car would be the LED lights on the bumper reflector. See: here

Hey, you forgot about Knight Rider's LED in the front bumper. Maybe you can also get a tape recorder with answers like KIT's...

HA HA HA, Knight Rider..... Anyway, just wanted to revisit the legality issue for a second. People who are in TX can't have any kind of interior or exterior lights (exlcluding headlights and brake lights of course) running while driving. This includes any neon (my friend has been pulled over for it). I promptly told him how gay he was to have had it on his jeep to begin with.... I smacked some sense into him and he took it off, thank god.

I can't believe I'm even using the word 'ricey' but IMO man ........they really are unacceptably ricey. I hope no-one ever does this to a Z.

we can all see how movies and music can influence peoples cars.
now everybody and there mommas gotta have dubs, neons, body kits, stickers... jees when does it stop?

i for one dont see any reason to have neons on a car other than being an attention *****.
"HEY LOOK AT ME!!! IVE GOT LIGHTS MEE ME MEEEE!!! LOOK AT MEEEEE!!!"
