Chrome plated turn signal bulbs?
Has anyone installed these or seen them installed in the Z headlight assembly? I really want to do this but i want to know how well the bulbs match up and how mch cleaner they make the housings look compared to the stock clear amber glass bulbs?
Pics would be great if anyone has any to share.

actually, the bulb isn't chromeplated. It has a silver paint over it. Philips makes a bulb called Silvervisions.
I tried really hard to find those, but unfortunatley, they don't make the size for the Z. .

No, they ARE chrome plated 7440 and 7443 bulbs in both amber and hyperwhite. They are made by Pilot, teh same guys that make aftermarket fog and driving lights. You can view them on the Pilot website. Im jsut asking if anyone has them and if they have pics.
The silver painted ones are crap, ive seen them, i jsut havent seen these chrome plated ones yet in person. I am 100% sure that they are chrome plated and not silver painted.

Im no scientist here but how exactly does light get past "chrome"? I really dont believe they are "chrome" plated but more like tinted in the same way windows where tinted with that "chrome" look. Not exactly chrome though...remember chrome is a metal you cant shine light past solid metal.

I found a source to buy those chrome bulbs:
http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/list...art=21&show=20
Now the question is, what type or bulb do we have for the turn signals? 1156? 1157? 3155? 3156? 3157?
I checked the manual, and it says T20, it doesn't cross to anything.

They are the push in kind (3056 or 3057 of the pilot brand). They do not have a round base. It is flat (wedge or waffle). Now that narrows it down. Who wants to make a guess next? XX56 or XX57?

Augh, OK everyone, teh bulbs we need for our front turn signals is a 7440 bulb. 7443 is a dual filiment bulb i believe is used in our rear housings for our running/brake lights. The 194's are the ones we need for the little tiny running lights in the headlight housings. I know pilot makes them, they advertise, and i posted the link to them! I know they exist, but obviously my original question about if anyone has them and can post pics has been forgotten. I like the pics of those silver ones, but i am not very pleased with the way they light up. Yes, these chrome ones are NOT really chrome metal over glass since that is not a possibility in the laws of science. The chrome is more of a reflective coating the same way mirrored window tinting works. I know that several auto parts stores stock pilot fog lights but i have not been aboe to find one that stocks these bulbs. Check my link i provided up a few posts to see what the bulbs look like.
