Default nismo shift **** and stock boot question...

i have a titanium nismo shift know on my 350z and the rubber stopper is just above there the boot comes up and looks all messy because the little excess of the boot wont go behind the stopper, does anyone know how to make this look better??? also, should i get rid of that white cotton stuff under the boot? does it make any difference thanks!

You can also replace that stock plastic finisher and use the rubber stopper instead. It's a bit tricky to string the four straps from the boot through since you can't zip tie them down like on the stock plastic finisher but it'll work. Here's what it looks like on my nismo titanium shiftknob...

I tried that, looks crap... At the Tokyo Auto Salon, I noticed the Nismo Z had an extra piece under the ****. It looked like a flat round spacer. Looked pretty good.

How do you guys like the Nismo **** anyway? Im starting to get used to it but its pretty small... I was used to my old Greedy ****..

MC350Z, what type of material are your seats? They look almost white leather?? Looks nice.

thanks. the hardest part was taking the factory boot apart. total time 45 minutes, taking apart and reinstalling.

I pretty much just replaced the stock plastic finisher under the boot with the rubber one that came with the shift ****. So then my boot had a tapered top instead of a flat top where it meets the shiftknob. If you'd like i can take some pictures underneath the boot to show where the rubber finisher is.
