Default Front lip only; no sides or rear...would that look stupid?

I'm one of the minority of people who actually prefer the stock lines of the Z as opposed to 95% of the body kits out there (I'd sell a kidney for the TS widebody kit though ). The front bumper however, I feel is a little too plain looking. I'd like to add a subtle lip, such as the v1 lip. However, I'm not sure if my car would look stupid and unbalanced with only a front lip and nothing else. What do you guys think? If this is a stupid idea, please lay it on me easy, no flaming!

I agree, and that is what I did by adding a lip

i think it looks great. Just dont get a 'lip' kit for the side skirts, those look horrible imo.

i would like to add a front lip and rear bumper addon, modled of course.

I'm seriously considering doing the same thing... the only body kits that I think are tasteful are all VERY pricey (i.e. TS, Do-Luck, etc.), and I'd rather put that money towards something else. I've seen several pictures of the V.1 lip by itself on the boards, search around a bit and you'll find them. Looks very clean!

You don't think it'll look too "nose heavy" without doing the sides?

A V1 or Nismo front lip without sideskirts looks great.

i have a veilside V1 lip with no sides or rear and i think it looks great, but my lip broke during a drive on the high way due to debree in the road. Being replaced with a new nismo bumper. But here are some pics and hope helps out .

It's a little dark and hard to make out the details, but overall, your car looks great! Love the wheels man!

Okay, I'm convinced; I'll go for it. One more question: I'm having my stock bumper repainted anyway; how much extra should I expect to pay to have the lip moulded onto the bumper?

I've always thought that a Z with the OEM spoiler, the Veilside V.1 front lip, and a slight drop looks a lot longer and more stretched out than a stock Z, which is a very nice look for the car. Go for it failsafe!

There's a ton of them on these forums. Do a refresh on the front page of the site and you'll probably see a few. I like the look. I was considering it originally but decided to just get the whole kit.

BluZee you car looks very much like mine. Love the Nismo wheels too.

The car looks great with the Nismo front lip. I have people tell me all the time how much the lip improves the look of the car. I like the lip and the OEM splash guards along with lowering the car slightly.

failsafe - If you have a super black then you can get away with just a front lip and it looks fine. On other colors it stands out more. But on black it looks very nice.

Yeah, they look almost exactly the same. I have the clear reflectors also but that picture I posted was before I had them installed.

The clear side markers look sooo good on a Daytona Blue Z.
