Default Opinions wanted... !

Opinion Please:

I am thinking about doing something to my Z that will set it apart from the others. I am thinking of going the LED route. The under body light kits are played out in my opinion but I do like the external lighting effect. What I am thinking if recessing green LED lights into the venting of my GReddy side skirts and into the venting on my hood to put out a soft subtle glow but nothing tacky or crazy bright like underbody neon or LED kits.

Opinions from anyone whether good or bad would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Ken

Not really... I am doing mainly body mods and exterior work on the car at this time. Not to sure I will get into heavy into engine mods so I keep the car below 80 most of the time on the highway.

if you want to look different from every other 350Z driven by kids in the US why don't you leave it standard.

+1 exterior light mods other than swapping bulbs for LEDs, LED bumper side relfectors, and possibly Z4 style signal lights are pretty ugly IMO.

Don't do it it'll look very tacky, You done see high end cars like lambo's ferrari's porsche, or even Z's with neon light and led's in the exterior do you? Well that's my opinion so do what ever you want it's you car.

It looks like cat eyes when it's coming at ya. It's just nice to be a little different sometimes. Flick of the switch and it is gone.

I can see why you think it looks like Night Rider ..... Cause it does. I guess some like it, some not.

the worst that can happen is doing it and not liking it. I think I am just going to have them installed in the side skirt vents/ducts... if I dont like it I can keep them off. I mainly want them for parking lights and for my remote start to show its running at night.

Thanks for the opinions... more of a mixed review.

The above picture is of the skirts and the vents where the LEDs will be recessed in.

I will post pics when the new kit and mods are done and get a final opinion.

I'm casting my vote against this idea. I think it'll look tacky, but I'm not a fan of underglow / neon /LED lighting at all.

Ah, I dig that. I think most of the "no" votes above don't care for the external lights on a moving car vibe. But having them on when the car is warming up could be cool.

If you want to do it, go for it. Everyone has different tastes.
