Poor choice, well that's your opinion. If you don't like it, fine don't buy them. This thread was intended to give a short review on the bulbs to those that are willing to go this route and make a VERY small compromise in light output. As you should know by now, modding whether it is for appearance or performance is all about COMPROMISING between evils. Reliability, efficiency, durability ECT.

ravi, did you have to just roll the fenders or did you have to pull them? My fender is even with the tire so I was worried that rolling wouldn't be enough. Camber isn't an option for me since it is my daily. If you get a chance PM me some pics when you lower it some more. I'm waiting for that Insane release in the second quarter.
I wouldn't say the violet from these bulbs are subtile, but not they are definatly not extreme either. The pics exagerate it a bit.

I think it looks nice, good job.

Thank you man, for sure I will hopefully be able to help you and Amit out with your decision--its been a long road and I'm almost there. I can't wait to post pics =p
How is flying lately--you're a pilot if I remember correctly right? Everything going good? Fender was "slightly" rolled b/c I am actually rolling on a lot of neg camber right now. Hoping to lose the neg camber by either cutting/or completely rolling the rears.

Yes of course, the amber LEDs were changed from the start. Eventhough I agree with you in principle, I'd still like to have 6K color.

I was told by Performance Nissan that the PIAA D2S don't fit right in the 06 projectors.

Flying is cool thanks for asking, just glad to have a job these days. Pooring money in the Z probably isn't the best thing to do, bud I've been modding cars since I was 14. It's like crack. F it, if it comes down to it, I can always say I have a 150 mph motor home.

My bad, should have read the question better. Not sure about the 06, I could have sworn it was D2S.

If I remember correctly, 194 is the same as the 168. Hope this helps.

I have an update for this: I spoke with Jason at Performance a minute ago, and he indicated that the D2S PIAAs will indeed fit the 2006 projectors. I will order a set and post some feedback in a few weeks.

Well, just got the 6600K bulbs installed during my scheduled service. The dealer called me twice warning me that the PIAAs were not XENON bulbs. Guess they don't know how to read Japanese. Long story short, after stating that I would take full responsibility if anything got damaged, they went ahead and installed them.
Now for the review:
The lights do look amazing, but I have to admit you actually notice a significant loss in visibility.
So in conclusion, if you live in a well-lit city and are looking for "style" this mod's for you.
Functional-wise be ready to "be seen more", but "see less".

You should have seen all of their faces when the lights worked.
Nevertheless they left one of the wedge bulbs unplugged, so I got to go back today.
