Pictures: What are these for?
I'm going to repair my rear turn signal this weekend. From what I've been told, it's only necessary to remove the rear brake light to get to the turn signal. A few people have told me once the brake light is remove, there is a small cubby hole you can stick your hand through to reach the turn signal. I've also been told that there are only 3 screws holding the brake light in place. My question is: Are the brake light screws underneath the 3 round tabs in the pictures, or are they accessible behind the panels inside the trunk?
Thanks,
Val

You must remove the three round plastic tabs that are located on top of each tail light (flathead screwdriver). Note: These are only viewable when the hatch is open. You must be carefully when removing the tail light, there are two tabs located inside the light which hold it locked in place. Once you have removed the bolts under the plastic tabs push the light out to the side to pop the tabs out of place, if you move upward you will end up breaking the plastic tabs. Once the lights are out of the way you can remove the wire harness that attachés to the them to access your turn signals. Hope this info helps

Just an FYI, when you are removing your rear turn signal bulbs, all the wiring harnesses work the same way. (You can practice on the brake light harness). About 1/4 turn gets them loose, then you can pull the harness + bulb right out.
BE CAREFUL PULLING THE TURN SIGNAL HARNESSES OUT. Some aftermarket turn signal bulbs do NOT have the best fitment ever. The "all-glass" style bulb (stock) fits much better than the aftermarket "glass + plastic base" type. I accidentally dropped an aftermarket bulb inside the turn signal housing before... it was a ***** to get it out...

I put my silver bulbs in last week and I agree, not the best figment, you have to really push them in and wait for a click before putting them into the housing, I realized this after having already doing the first front light now it is loose and will hyper blink every once in a while, have to go back and do it right

Thank you very much guys. I just wanted to take all the guess work out of the project. As you guys seen, the turn signal light is popped out of socket. Some person in my apartment complex backed into my bumper last week. Luckily I was able to buff out the scratches, and the light isn't broken. Again, thanks a bunch. Reptile & Wired 24/7, thanks for the detailed hints.
