On 5% tint all around including visor strip on front windshield. If you get pulled over period at night or day w/ 5% if you decide on that. Crack your passenger window during the day and at night make sure you open your window enough to catch the spotlight on the passenger mirror to reflect inside. It makes the car light up a bit and they won't question your tint. 5% is tough to see out at night when backing up with no street lights around. I have to roll down my windows and use the side mirrors when backing up and sometimes open my door to look behind me so I won't rear end myself. If you make turns at intersection or coming into traffic. I still roll down my drivers window to make sure what lane the car is in at night so I don't jump in front of them ending up in an accident and at intersection I also roll my window down because I don't want to hit the median. Day driving with 5% is good but at night it can be difficult and you have to be 100% sure about every move you make. That my perspective!

Luckily my little brother's best friend has a tint shop here in Dallas. He did 20% on my driver and passenger side windows. 5% on my rear quarter panels and rear window. and 50% on my front windshield.
The best part of the front windshield tint is you see the same out from the inside, it dramatically reduces glare at night, and is light enough that it is not noticed by cops. Though it is illegal, so is the fact i have no cat/converters, dvd player tat can be seen by the driver, and so on. If you are worried about passing state inspections i do not suggest it, i you have ways to get around it, i would go for it
