Default Favorite Shift ****

I'm looking to add my first mod to my Z and what better than a shift ****, cheap and easy to install. I been looking at the Nismo's and the price for the Titanium is crazy compared to the chrome. I'm not into the ball shape, does anyone have any pics of there shift *****????????????

I have 3 shift *****... all Nismo

Nismo Ti
Nismo Rubber GT
Nismo Leather ****

Honestly, my favorite out of the 3 is the Ti. It just feels great to shift... its weighted, so it makes the shifts smoother.

The Nismo Rubber GT comes in at a close 2nd and my only real complaint would be that while shifting from the top, the shifter isnt smooth, nothing like the Nismo Ti which feels solid and smooth all around. Sort of in between the Nismo Ti and the leather in terms of smoothness.

The leather **** is great for a lighter **** feel. You can feel every knot in the transmission it seems. It gives a good contrast to the smoother shifting Nismo Ti, and is also noticably knotchier than the Rubber GT.

I honestly feel like buying more than 1 new shift **** is a sound investment. I rotate the shift ***** every 2-3 weeks to give a different feel to the car. It adds a little excitement to driving the car... different shifters give the car a different feel.

I was thinking about going for a Voodoo ball **** but decided against it as I've felt an actual ball **** and didnt like it much. Not my shifting style, which is more suited to a pistol grip style ****.

The stock **** gives the shift a hollow feel/sound. While the feel of the **** is great, giving a great **** for those who like both the pistol grip and the ball **** feel... i just dont like the hollowness of the ****... makes the car feel cheap and plastic.

I kind of like the chrome look, but I think it might be slippery at times. The titanium cost almost twice as much but matches the interior a little better.

I went with a Momo ****. Some people have said that they dont tighten down very well, but my install went fine and ive had it on there since christmas and it hasnt moved an inch. It gives great feedback and lowers down the **** a bit. Mine looks like this one, except it has a black leather bottom instead of aluminum. Matches the interior of the car perfectly.

Psst... your tow hook is still on your car

But as for favourite shiftknobs, i'm on the fence between the Nismo ti that i have (not the gt one) and the ARC titanium shiftknobs. The ones with the rainbow look to them.

The picture I attached is someone else's car. And that shift **** is the one I will be getting. As far as the installation process it, should be the same as any shift **** install for the 350z.
