Default So I cut a hole in my bumper.....

......and installed my Varis intake duct.

It was a scary install. Particularly right after I cut the big hole, and before installing the duct.

It was a little nerve-racking. , but Iam very pleased with it.

ahh yes another PPW with Varis. I like the way PPW + Varis looks, good contrast with black carbon fiber. I was a little nervous cutting my bumper too, but the result was worth it. Yours looks good. Now just get you some PPW AUT eyelids from Intense and that front end will look mean.

I assume they give you guidelines on how to cut?

And what about rain with these things?

Anyway, nice, nice install!

I don't think rain is an issue with these things. Its the same as the VaraRAM for the vette guys. My brother had this on his old 04 z06 and had no problems whatsoever.

Just don't be an idiot and spray water directly up into it and you're fine.

I too love the look on a PPW Z but man cutting the initial hole must be so nerve wreckening, Luckily, the end results puts you at ease

After #17 posts, apparently so, lol.

No no, before I hated it and didn't think it looked good at all. Perhaps its something you need to see in person to appreciate.

It flows very well with black, silverstone, chrome silver 350zs.

I think its more of an anestetic thing. If you are looking for performance and hate the way it looks, you can always paint it to match your car.

Hi,
I've painted my Varis. I think the contrast carbon fiber / super black is not really nice. My body shop closed the holes for the screws, too. It's fixed with glue now.
