here is the original thread from the vendors classified section for a replica Vertex style kit for the 350z made by Version Select.

Anyone know why they wont sell the kit in California? I PM'ed and called both Version Select and RnD but have not gotten back a response.

anyone have personal experience with body kits made by version select?, quality fitment etc?

 

lots of 240sx owners have been using their products for a long time now... very good fitmet from my past experiences.

 

That's funny, considering the store is located IN California:

Maybe Vertex USA has exclusivity in CA and they threatened them to sue if they sold there? I don't know.

Version select will not sell to california due to many replica companies.
since their replica kit actually fits well. They were worried they would get copied.
However..
IF you are local to our shop we can get you a 350z version kit.

 

So the issue is they're afraid of someone making a replica out of their replica?

Eventually, somebody is going to be able to get a hold of it and still copy it.

Sooner or later, with all this replica, Japanese companies wont sell their products anybody in the U.S. anymore because of these copycats killing their market.
