Default ...but I wanted T-Tops!

Just curious if anyone has been crazy (mentally or financially) enough to cut T-tops into a 350Z? I've always wanted a Z (and actually now have one), and have always wanted one with T-Tops, but alas the z33 comes only in convertible or coupe. So has anyone ever chopped a z33? Personally, I think it would look killer.

Doing it wouldn't be a problem per se....but where would you put the tops once they were out?

Well, According to the manual, I've got room for two sets of golf bags. Actually that is true. I've done it. You just have to remove your drivers first.

If they are separate tops, as in a left and right section, they would fit in the back fine, though one continuous section would be a bit difficult. But then again, you can fit a Z05 T in the back of the Z05. It just has to be the only thing back there.

Any idea of the name of the company working on the mod tops?

I agree, a targa would look better. That's what we mentioned above as most likely being difficult to store, just couldn't think of calling it a targa. I think it would fit though.

T-Tops would hold more of the cars sturctural integrity. I would love them if they were tight and did not leak or rattle. Yeah right. Anyone with t-tops on Z-32 know if they rattle or leak when from the factory?

I think that Nissan has always had problems with their T-tops. My buddy has a 280z that has leaked since like 1988. Obviously, that doesn't make it a case study, but it's not the only time I've heard of it.

Edit: I think alot probably has to do with the amount of TLC they are given, too.

I agree about the structural intregrity, which raises the question, how is that dealt with in the Roadsters?

I agree, I had a 300zx, and it leaked! I found out the night of prom when it was raining and this car splashed a sh*t load of water at my passenger side window and it leaked on her dress. Not a good night!
