It looks like i may not be able to go FI because my mom freaked out about my car being any faster until i graduate college. So im going to go in a new direction and was thinking about doing some suspension and some show stuff.
I've always wanted Lambo style doors but the other day i was thinking about actually getting out of the car like that everytime, and im sure it would draw a whole lot of attention.
So for those of you who have these on your Z, are you happy with them or are you kind of over them?

I like the doors, and YES they attract A LOT of attention..... BUT they are a pain to deal with on a daily driver. Having to properly align the doors when you close them and make sure they are opened and closed properly.... Not to mention the hassle you get with a valet in refusing to let them drive the car.
Think about it long and hard before you do it.
But hell yea, they are good attention getters for shows...

From the look of the diablo doors kit (i think that was the name) you push the door out horizontally a little first, then push it up vertically.
if it had solid construction with shocks, I'd get them in a heartbeat, but the ones out now are pretty ghetto.. you have to manually lift and most of them wobbles while it goes up. It doesn't look natural at all.

You have to be careful when you close the door, because the alignment is never perfect and the door will self adjust as it catches the latch. The problem is that if you do not push hard enough it will not latch properly and if you do too much, you will scrape the paint on the latches and door.
I have the GT Factory. These open out about 6 inches and then go up about 87degrees…
They are not the Vertical door kit or Decah.
I would also say this kit is not shabby or cheap in anyway. Everything is solid on the door, I have had the car in a show on the beach last weekend in 10 mph winds and the doors were up and not moving at all…
I am not sure what you mean by ghetto…

However, GT Factory for the Z is solid. Not a good idea for daily drive.
