Just what the title says. Spoiler will be finished tomorrow (paint) and I'm thinking of installing myself. It's the USDM and came with the template, hardware and instructions. Any one done this? Any suggestions? Thoughts?

it all depends on how comfortable you feel drilling holes in your car. if it was me i would pay the a bodyshop maybe $100 and that way they would be responsible. ive see the template your talking about. i agree is doesnt look to hard. if youve done stuff like that before it shouldnt be probelm.
do you have the OEM lip spoiler?

so far so good! the holes are all drilled without incident and the spoiler screws fit in nicely. Just checking some pictures on here to make sure it's lined up right (like it matters now)

success (for the most part). I lost one of the nuts in the hatch so have to go to home depot later to pick up another. i guess i drilled two of the holes at a a little of an angle because the nuts wouldn't go on from the stock opening that you're supposed to insert them from (this is on the inside of the hatch). A little dremeling and i opened up the hole enough to get one of them on, but that was after i lost the other nut. aside from that, fit looks good, it's sturdy and everything went great.
will post pics tonight.

the irony is that my car didnt come with the OEM lip spoiler. but i installed in back in 2002 before the nismo stuff was available. so if i just would have waited i could have got it. now of course i could get the JDM one but its $800 and if im gonna spend that kind of money i might aswell spend 1200 and get what i really want the V2 spoiler.
great install pics! enjoy your spoiler.
