Paint it red. I have a redline and I think that it may look ackward with a CF hood.

I like the look of the carbon hood with redline.

I'm pretty sure I read on here that you don't save any weight with the Seibon (not sure about other brands) carbon hoods as opposed to the stock hood, and may even gain a pound or two. So I don't see the point in buying one if it's going to be painted? Unless you are specifically going for a vented hood....

Incorrect, you save atleast 3bs with a Seibon carbon fiber hood. Have you ever lifted a carbon fiber hood? they are crazy light.

yea but seibon makes wet carbon hoods, as opposed to dry carbon... hence the assumption that it's not much weight savings.

wet or dry doesn't matter, it still weighs 10lbs less then OEM hood.

OK! Got my Seibon VT cf hood from MCopare and just installed it. Took maybe 10 mins, even with the wifey as my assistant So here they are! I think it looks slick, will be better once I start working on the body kit issue. Thinking Aerosync front and the rest Nismo.Just had to put on a coat of Nxt also! Thanks Matt!

hmm.. i'm gonna

OEM hood weighs ~13lb. Seibon weighs more by at least 3 pounds. even my lighter Fiberimages hood only saves like 2 pounds from stock. we have an aluminum hood.. going CF is purely for cosmetic purposes unless you get dry carbon...

you might save 10 pounds with other cars with steel hoods. (aka Altima/ Maxima, Honda cars) not with our Z.

I personally dont think ~3 lbs will make any bit of difference. Fitment is great! I bolted it on, but not tight to check and see how the latch would work and it was good so I tightened it all the way down. Just like stock
