The only real "weight savings" carbon fiber parts that you might be able to feel on the road would be a hatch or doors.

The hoods are for more than just weight savings. The heat extraction works wonders for our tight engine bays. After I put mine on, it was noticable temp change. And just going to wh*re out my ride =)
