Default underbody guard.

not sure if this is supposed to be posted here. if it isnt mods please move to the correct area. my car is really low to the ground so I have ended up scrapping the underguard enough that it has several cracks and the holes have cracked open in some areas that it hangs from the car. i want to get rid of it and get a new one or just get rid of it period.

soooo what I need to know, where to get a new one, and also if its really needed? i know it protects that car but will I be openw ithout it? oh and is anyone selling thiers by any chance?

I think it's made of plastic or something...

If I were you, find a shop that would fabricate one out of sheet metal if you're getting hit down there often enough...

I'd never run without it, IMO

You are talking about the plastic engine cover at the front of the car?

If so, you can just pickup a new one at the dealer if you want, or you can fab your own out of some sheet metal like someone said above me.

I've seen people run without them, I don't think it's truely necessary, just keeps crap out of the engine bay and keeps it cleaner

yah its like 90 bucks at the dealership, but im afraid imma break it again. there is a metal version online and its like 400 dollars.... which I think is insane. how much would it be to fabricate it? might completely go against the lighter car idea...

Try calling some local machine shops or something liek that and see what they say. Some muffler shops might be able to help fab up something too, go and ask. THey will have a better idea after they put the car on a lift and take a look

It's a pretty simple fab though, $400 is insane !

Oh, the item you will be creating is basically a skid plate so maybe that will help you describe what you are talking about on the phone to people instead of visiting everyone in person and wasting time.

Good luck!
