Wondering if this is a good price for nismo wing and install
I don't know any body shops in the NC area so only place I've got a quote from was the dealer and they said 675, for the wing, paint, install and padding etc. Just wondering if that is at least a decent price.

Ahh ok just making sure.
yea its with the wing, install and paint. Not much of a diy type of guy. Trying to learn but its not worth the chance of me ****ing it up.
Probably get it done this weekend

yes that sounds about right for wing, paint, and install. Just make sure they install it in the correct spot and not like this one from an earlier thread. https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-and-interior/184808-bodyshop-did-nismo-spoiler-install-wrong-what-to-do-pics.html

What do you mean about right up to the lip? Not exactly sure. Probably going to get it done tommorow or as soon as they have an appointment open.
They also mentioned something about padding, what is that?

its from your dealer so its the real one that has a template. its almost impossible to place it wrong. the one in the other thread was a replica.
make it look like the pic i posted above and youll be fine.
padding is just soft material is that some people put between the wing and hatch in certain areas as just part of the normal process of fitting a wing.

Ahh cool can't wait to get it on. going to call tommorow and set it up. That and get the S-tune sway bars.
Off topic question but are the nismo brake pads worth the extra money or would it be better to get another brand. Basically trying to reduce brake dust and improve performance a little if its possible

ive had the nismo brakes and i thought they were good. they do have less dust than stock and have good initial bite. do you do any road racing or autoX?
right now i have axxis ultimates( i switched because they were part of a brake upgrade kit i bought) they are very inexpensive and to me they have been fine i have no complaints about them either, but they have about a month left on them and i plan to go back to the nimsos for front and rear.
to me they are about equal the the hawks HPS pads the extra money you are paying is because they are nismo.
if you want the cheapest pad that meets your needs give the axxis a shot but of you dont mind paying you cant go wrong with nismo. the hawks fall somewhere between the 2.
by the way you will like the nismo sways. i could really tell the difference during autoX and even day to day driving

I usually race at night on twisties or just at moderate speeds taking corners and have noticed that every once in a while it feels like I could use a little more power and the dust is pretty bad.
Once I get put my popcharger, plenum spacers, get my wing and sways I'll probably hook start racing with a few guys I know who have Z's here

im the official my350z nismo ***** . so i would have to say yes. i think they are some of the best non adjustable out there. they are a little pricey for sways but they are S-tune warranted. the hotchkis are good aswell. basically it comes down to what you like and what you can get them for
i paid $200 shipped for a set of slightly used nismo sways from the marketplace on here.

plenum spacer(i suggest the MD 5/16) and pop charger along with a nice exaust will give you a nice gain for the $
