Yip, rubber lining is back on. It simply closes the space but it still looks as if the hood is unlatched. Vechile is currently in panel shop trying to rectify the problem. can send pic if u wanna see the result...

Ron, my panel shop warned me about the bubbles that may occur from the heat, part of their prep work was to actually bake the panels forcing the bubbles to appear and then smooth out the panels again.

Damn that sounds like WAY too much work to make something that costs a lot to begin with look close to what you were hopping. I gotta say im very disappointed with most aftermarket body kits as far as quality. I mean the Z isnt a $5 car I would think they would try to maintain a standard of quality but apparently all thye do is maintain the price gouging and still slack on the fitment. I think the oem isnt aggressive enough for the kit i have but considering i obviosuly have no fitment issues i might almost be inclined to keep it. Are there no aluminum aftermarket hoods?

Yip, a lot of cash and work. My prep, spray and install work cost almost as much as the kit itself. Don't know of any aluminum hoods out there. I guess you can't go wrong with a carbon hood cause how would you modify it if there were any fitment issues??? so i think that the manufacturer will make sure that fitment is perfect.

Yeah im just not a big fan or carbon fiber hoods and am skeptical of painting them to look like fiberglass. Hoping to get some pictures of bubbles' seibon vt painted.

Excellent info Fernando. Wish I knew ahead of time but I'll mention it to my shop so it prevent any more.
