Sounds like a big fat rip off... $150 to black out your emblems. WTF! Dude I've already done it and let me tell you how much I've paid... About $10!!! That was for supplies ONLY! You know you can't chrome dip plastic, it'll fry like a chicken nugget in hot oil. And I hope you know that's what your emblems are made out of... Plastic! All this person is going to do is skuff your emblems, paint them with a gloss black automotive paint and then apply a couple layers of clear to give it that chrome luster. Save yourself $140.00 dollars and do it yourself! You can't even tell the difference with my emblems. Take the emblems off your car with something like piano wire, rub as much of the double sided tape off the vehicle. Then hit it with some rubbing compound to get the rest of that off and make sure it's applied by hand or else you could burn the paint. Then skuff your emblems, put a couple of coats of black on them then when that dries put a couple of coats of clear.

Black Chrome is not real chrome, it's a special paint that looks like chrome, go to some automotive store and you should be able to find it for cheap.

Bro, Black Chrome is a color.......and your emblem does not look anywhere near what mine is gana look like. If you knew what you were talking about you would konw that you can tell the diffrence between a black chrome emblem and a emblem that got spray painted, i know they are not gana dip it in chrome and i konw my emblem is plastic, but black chrome is the finish. Not sure how they do it and i know its worth it(atleast i think so if you look at the courtosy part site, they charge $65 per emblem)

hmm wouldn't NHT nightshade paint work on the emblems too?

that'll give it that tinted look... and the base chrome would make it reflective

instant pseudo blackchrome

The previous owner wasnt really a person that would mod thier car, so I would assume that he bought it from the dealer like that....which was Irvine Nissan.
