Default no net

What would we all do if there was no net to research mod parts? Just buy mods and hope for the best?

I almost didn't buy a Z because I was always reading about tranny this, click, clank, clunk that. In the end I said egh screw it, I love the car and if it falls apart so be it, I'll fix it because I like the car that much. Now I'm finding it happening with mods too.

It's great that we can research stuff but lately now that I have my Z and have done the first phase of my mods ( pretty mild stuff), I have thought about one other possible mod, that was never on my list. Then doing a little searching and reading all of the horror stories about what it is I'm thinking of doing, I'm wondering.

Originally I had no intention of doing any aftermarket body parts whatsoever because I love the lines of the Z in stock form, aside from a rear spoiler, which will go on in a few weeks when I get it painted. however after getting a lot of annoying chips and crap on the hood with only 4,300 miles on the clock, I was toying with the idea of trying out a Seibon hood, which I may or may not be painted to match in the future depending on a few different things..

Some people say they are total crap and others love them. If it was not for the net I would probably just buy it and see for myself but I'm totally gun shy about it now. Probably my biggest concern is that a lot of people say it rubs even on the factory strut brace and or the covers?

Since this mod was not on my initial list to buy, somebody please tell me to take it off my list
