i have a super black Z and i was thinking about getting a carbon fiber hood for it. I dont know if it will look good or not...what do yall think?

People won't really be able to tell the diffrence. I say do some other mod.

what makes it so awesome is the fact that is very subtle.Not like CF on red.
There is a member here with SB with full C-West carbon fiber kit. It is one of the dopest Zeeees on this site. His nick is nitrous....

Z Boy, where'd you get your grill? thats the one I'v been looking for and can't find anywhere.

 

I don't have a problem with cf on black z's but it looks soooo much better on other colors. You can't just slap one piece of cf on a black z...you have to go all out IMO.

 

This is one of those things that is definitely a personal preference. I ordered one for my car but it came in damaged so I didn't put it on. Personally, I think that it is going to look OK. The best color IMO to do this with is Daytona.

 

it was my very first mod back in 01/03, so long ago i don't remember where i got it, but i believe its the stillen grill, and it was from intense, but i'm not absolutely sure.

 

I have a carbon fiber lip on my SB, people really notice it.

 

Saw a Stillen hood on a black Z and it looked ok at least under night time lighting.

mine actually doesn't weigh much less than the oem, which is already very light. i bot mine cuz i liked the look, and for better engine bay cooling.

 

yea the stock aluminum hood was very light, so that a "wet" carbon hood wasnt much of a difference... however if you rocking "dry" carbon then we'd be talking about a whole different ball game.

 

CF on black is yummy.

 

AGREE!! ive been thinking of putting one on my CS but also not sure. i dont really want it to stand out,and i havent really seen any other options besides CF. has anyone seen a NICE hood that isnt CF?

Why not consider CF in an other color besides black!! A color such as yellow, or red. You can order CF in any color you want!!!
