Default Pics: EVO-R air duct color matched to 06 front bumper

I damaged my front bumper and needed to replace it. I considered some aftermarket ones but decided to just get an 06 front end and add the air duct for a semi-custom look. I also left the portion under the grill unpainted. I think it looks pretty good as is, but I might add a carbon fiber piece over it in the future. The 06 grill inserts and tow cover piece are on order and next up is to smoke the sidemarkers. I asked the body shop to paint the sidemarkers too, but they said legally they can't do it so I didn't push the issue. I was worried the duct would blend in too much painted, but it still stands out without being too over the top. Tell me what you think, ignore the bugs:

i think it would have looked better if you kept it black to match the center of your bumper..........but it does look very clean

looks great, but how does it fit? it looks like there are lil gaps between the duct and the bumper, is it the shade or does it not lay completly flat on the bumper?

There are some small gaps. When I installed it on a my brand new bumper there were no gaps. The gaps appeared after I got it back from the body shop. I suspect they had to tweak the front bumper a little bit to install and it created those gaps.

so let me see if i get this right....when you first got it and installed it before you got it painted it was a perfect fit, but after you took it out and got it painted it was gapy?

The bumper was brand new, unpainted and not installed. I installed the air duct and it fit perfect. Took the whole thing (bumper/duct) in to be painted and installed. When I got it back, there was a small gap on the top of the duct. Anything else in the pics is just a shadow or optical illusion.
