Review of Central 20 spoiler from Shine Auto Project [Part 1: Material)
#41
Ken,
as i said from the beginning, i hope you take my review as a possitive feedback. You can relay the pinholes issue back to your team so they can do it better in the future. Maybe, i was rushing you for this spoiler. I also thought this spoiler was made by machine as the rest of the kit. I do appriciate your effort to made this spoiler available to me at a very good deal, but on the same token, i just do the review base on what i saw.
I think there is still some room for improvement on the split lines and pinhole issue. 10-15 pinholes, no big deal but here, it is almost everywhere around the edge. Whether you take my feedback or not, it is up to you.
Anyway, here are some pictures i took after the 2nd time rebondo around the edge and some on top area. You still can see some of them. All the prep work had been down since yesterday.
Will i buy from Shine Auto Project again? Sure. I'll give it another chance for the rear bumper.

I hope no one gets offended cause I'm definately not knocking the central 20 kit, people w/ the kit or even the miata. But..... is it just me or does it look a little miata like? Could just be the angle the pics on the post above show.

I've been tracking this thread because I'm seriously considering putting a Central 20 front bumper (just the front bumper, not the whole kit) on my '04 SB roadster - think it's the best looking front for the roadster. All the posts about finish quality of the ShineProject replica is a big concern, but the number one priority is the fitment.
Firehawk - how good were the gaps and seams around the fenders and hood on initial fitment ? Did you have to mod it a great deal to fit?
Bubble - what do you want for that authentic bumper?

The front fit fine on mine. The gap under the headlight is not even, but you have to be at eye level with the gap to see it. If you have the money, spend it on the original, cause you will spend alot of money in labor to make it look nice and fill in the holes and repair cracks. I also filled in the front plate holes on mine, which I think helps.
