Default Clear Bra, worth the money??

I got my 2006 PPW Base last week and debating weather to put the clear bra on it to avoid the rock chips....A friend of mine had it installed on his front pumper and side mirrors....he paid around $700 for all of this......

Is this really worth the money?? Does $700 sound about right??

Thanks

Alot of people would agree that its worth every single penny...Prices around here are $5-600 for the full kit installed which includes, Front bumper, hood (partial), headlights, fenders (partial), & mirrors...

Clear-Bra is WELL worth it!

I paid only about $550 for a hook up on mine when the body shop painted my car. It's the best money you can spend, it really works. I left the car at the shop for a week sitting there even, just so that they could get the clear bra installer there to do the all hand cut install before I took delivery.

I swear by it, and i will never own a car w/out this type of setup.

The Z actually needs it worse than any other car.

Depend on how dirty your car is but for the most part you have to go out of your way to notice.

I used to think all Z's came with the clear bra but then I found out I was lucky enough to have bought mine with it on there =).

www.xpel.com Only use a factory trained installer, the 3M Clear Bra was the best investment on my car so far. Make sure to Clay Bar before the install. I have an 06 MB and not a single person have ever noticed it, unless I have pointed it out to them. If you have a PPW you will not be able to see it at all. Plus 5 year warranty.

I have an 03 and my bumper looks like CRAP! I am planning to get either a lip molded or a new front bumper, as soon as that happens all new paint on the bumper and the clear bra is going on! I have 2 very very small chips on my hood, but nothing on my mirrors. I will prob just get the front bumper done.

Worth every penny. You can't tell its on there, and it saves your paint as well as making bugs soo much easier to get off. Even with aftermarket bumbers and paint i'd call it a must.

I don't know if I'm just lucky, but I have an 04 and have very few chips. This may be largely due to my driving habits though. Most are city miles, and on the highway I avoid driving behind trucks.

A clear bra in my case isn't worth it.

Well obviously you don't have to go on the highway much. It is not just trucks that throw up rocks. If you live in an area like the DC/Metro area and have to deal with the beltway it's a definite must. I have noticed that the use or sell of the clear bras are not common in a lot of areas. Also, for me one chip is one chip too many. So if you want to save your investment have the clear bra installed. But, hey to each his own
