I am not familiar with punksterz626 work so I apologize if stating the obvious. Above all else fitment is most important for me. I realize there will be prep time involved but fitment hopefully will be close to "Do-Luck" quality which is very good.

this project will be replicated from a real do-luck hood so fitment is close to 100% to the real deal. Also, some you guys are talking about "screening" what is that? im lost

I will talk to my manufacture and see if they can develope some sort of rain guard for the vents..

Hopefully we get enough ppl to commit to this project so i can really get things started.

I'll try and verify, but I'm 99.99% positive that yes, it works without the WB fenders.

The one on the left doesn't have the wide-body fenders.

I think Tommy is still gauging interest to see if it's viable.

Thanks! Hopefully we'll get enough interest.

Again, not to be too picky but after my experience with my Veilside hood I would like better fitment. My question would then be how good does the Do-Luck hood fit? The issues I often see with the aftermarket hoods are wide or inconsistent gaps on the sides and front.

+1

I think the majority I've seen (including the one I bought) was fitment around the headlights & front bumper.

Maybe we can address this issue in production.

Sorry, I'm confused. Are you saying you've bought a Do-Luck hood in the past that had fitment problems? Or are you saying aftermarket in general? I've heard of problems with Seibon, etc....(other replica companies).

As far as the JDM Companies products, the only co. I've seen/heard that had problems is with Veilside-some w/ fitment issues and some not. Veilside customers seemed to be hit or miss with who had problems. I haven't seen any threads with hood problems from companies like Top Secret, Do-Luck, etc... That's not to say there aren't.

There is pratically no info out there about the Do-Luck hood in general. I've kept my ears and eyes open for some time now. For good or bad reviews. I've wanted this hood for awhile. For the most part, it's probably due to the $$ of the authentic. $1,500 dollar hoods limit who buys and who doesn't. Hence a lack of reviews.

Not saying the Do-Luck doesn't fit well, it's just the aftermarket hoods I've seen out there generally have fitment issue around those areas. The Do-Luck hood is $$$$, so I would expect it to fit like like OEM to justify spending that much.

Generally alot of these fitment issues with authentic brands are during the installation, fitting one side improperly causes the other to warp making it look off on certain areas. Personally, ive never had issues with Do-luck before and lets not be the first time here
