Stock H7 need to go
Ok Im search to death and cant get a clear cut answer. So I want to ditch the stock H7 highbeam blubs for a set of blubs that are pure white (clear white) or white with a hint of blue. Wattage needs to be the same I dont want to burn up the harnesses in a year.
So far I found that PIAA are nice but over priced and dont really change the color over the stock H7.
The cheap H7 on ebay and else where you seem to get what you payed for and the blubs I have found dont have a lumens(sp) rating and sometime even a wattage rating so you dont know what your getting.
Ive also heard that the coated(colored) blubs can shatter or the coating just burns off
So Im still on the hunt for some H7s with good coloring and the right wattage
anybody have these or had experience with Hella blubs
So far all I find is no-name brands so anybody know of a good brands that the blub is colored and rated as advertised ? ? ?
Thanks
T

I was also looking into this as I'm doing a full headlight conversion this weekend. So far I've come to the conclusion that you won't get a noticable difference unless you go with some higher (100w) output bulbs which could very well fry your wiring harness. Any insight would be welcome.

H7 +50 or the H7 ultra premium bulbs, both excellent performers. Stay away from any coated bulbs. PIAA bulbs are show bulbs, not performance bulbs.
