I would like to get some advice if I should add the Rubber Edge Strip to the ings+1 front lip and Nismo rear unders spoilers.

My Z is white and the rubber edge strips are black, so I would like to get some input from forum members.

I believe the purpose of this rubber edge is to seal any gaps between the kit and the bumper, but since my ings and Nismo are all authentic, fitment should be perfect. Then should I still bother adding the rubber strip? Because the black rubber strip stands out against the white Z.

Don't use it. Looks cleaner without.

 

If they fit well enough I would say to take off the strip.

 

Then will the USDM Nismo under spoiler have a gap if I do not use the rubber strip?

 

Where does one purchase the rubber strip?

My front lip fitment is near perfect, and the rear apron would look funny with a rubber strip.

 

It would be helpful to see a picture of the USDM Nismo rear under spoiler without the rubber strip and see if there's really a gap.

perfect thread for us with white cars looking at this kind of stuff. I was just wondering this myself. Then again, I was thinking about painting the whole lower half of the kit black (so that would hide the strip right there).

I think if you have a white car, it looks horrible to leave the black strips. Any other color is okay. Yellow is pushing it, but still probably better w/o it. I have seen a red one w/o the strips front rear and I didn't notice any huge gaps myself. It looked really, really good.

I've got some photoshops that I've done recently using other members cars but my wheels. The very last car is a JDM kit.

 

I was reading the installation instructions for the Nismo rear under spoilers and noticed that it requires drilling holes.

2 holes on the side and 2 holes on bottom of the rear bumper per spoiler. Total of 8 holes needed to be drilled to install both under spoilers.

I was wondering if the unders spoilers will hold if I do not drill holes on the side of the rear bumper and use only double sided tape and cut away the 2 locating posts on the inside of the under spoiler.

Anyone tried installing like this before?

It's just that when it comes time to sell the car, I can part the Nismo under spoiler to return the car to stock without having to fill any visible holes.
