im guessing its the angle of the car but it looked a little crooked... wondering if i messed up? dont know how i would i kept redoing the foam over it and it matched perfectly... any1 else know?

I was thinking the same thing too.

I used the blue foam template that came with the FairladyZ emblem and it perfectly follows the trunk edges.

However, sometimes when I look at it at certain angles, it doesn't seem to align with the bottom edge of the trunk. But then I took blue foam and over lay it the FairladyZ emblem again, it algins perfectly according to the blue foam. Weird.

 

Hmmm.. I just put the Fairlady emblem on as well and it looks crooked too, lol. The blue foam matches perfectly as well. The bottom edge of the trunk is curved (it's not perfectly straight) and the blue foam is straight, so that may be what happens. Seems as if the emblem tilts ever so slightly at a downward angle. Anyone else?

 

yes...mine looked crooked based on using the blue foam guide so i just tilted it up to compensate before i stuck it on.....maybe it is an optical illusion with the curves of the trunk lid...but it looks straight so i am happy with it....

Same thing happened to me and I took it off cuz it bothered me...... Im a perfectionist . Anyway, I bought another one and I placed it using the blue template and i just angled it a little higher on the right side of the elmblem (about 3mm) and guess what it came ouut perfect, the template is off so if you dont mind spending another $25 I would say take the one you have on off, and get another. Im finally happy now. Just my 2 cents.

ya i think im gunna by another one for two reasons: 1. cuz it's a lil crooked and 2. cuz the emblem is dull...i didnt know that they had a chrome one. i thought it was the same...oh well $30 for a better lookin trunk. not that bad

mine was wrong too so i took them off, stripped the 3m junk off the back and then just superglued them to the decklid... It looks great! * waits to get flamed *

Wow, that's a *huge* wing, lol.

I took my Fairlady emblem off because it was bothering me and I kind of like the looks of it debadged. Will probably run around like this for awhile since I can put another emblem on anytime. Like someone above said, I didn't know either that there was a slightly more expensive Fairlady emblem that came in chrome.

 

Funny you mentioned it, my emblem always seemed crooked to me. And yes I used the blue foam it came with, that's probably why it came out that way.

 

Do the side emblems just get glued on?
